Tropik Sun Fruit & Nut has been a cherished part of the Corpus Christi community since the 1980s, serving generations of families from our home inside La Palmera Mall. We specialize in sweet and salty favorites like gourmet popcorn, roasted nuts, chocolates, ICEEs, sodas, and nostalgic candies. In 2013, Billy "Bill" D. Nichols proudly took ownership of Tropik Sun. A hardworking and kind-hearted man, Bill dedicated himself to the shop, working every day until just two weeks before his 91st birthday. His commitment, warmth, and passion shaped Tropik Sun into more than just a snack shop—it became a place where customers felt like family. Bill passed away in 2021, but his spirit and values continue to guide our business. Today, Tropik Sun is owned and operated by Bill’s grandson, Kyle, who carries on his grandfather’s legacy with the same heart and dedication. We’re proud to be a local tradition, bringing joy to our customers one treat at a time.
